At a forum on “Promoting the International Financial Centre of Ho Chi Minh City - Opportunities and Challenges for Enterprises” held on October 7, experts and enterprises discussed the orientation and development model to form a sustainable digital financial ecosystem.

An international workshop themed “Legal framework for international financial centres: Foreign experiences for Ho Chi Minh City” was held in Ho Chi Minh City on September 20.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, head of the Steering Committee for Viet Nam’s International Financial Centre (IFC), issued an action plan to develop and put the facility into operation in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang by the end of this year.

The National Assembly (NA) on June 27 adopted the resolution on the International Financial Centre (IFC) in Viet Nam, with 438 out of 447 legislators voting in favour, representing 91.63% of all NA deputies.
