National Assembly (NA) Chairman Tran Thanh Man met with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in Ha Noi on October 25 during the latter’s official visit to Viet Nam.

A high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly led by Chairman Tran Thanh Man attended the opening ceremony of the sixth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in Geneva, Switzerland on July 29 afternoon (local time).

Viet Nam’s participation in the upcoming 6th World Conference of Speakers of Parliament (WCSP) reaffirms its trust in dialogue, solidarity, and peace, according to Swiss Ambassador to Viet Nam Thomas Gass.

At the invitation of Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) President Tulia Ackson, IPU Secretary General Martin Chungong, Morocco’s Speaker of the House of Representatives Rachid Talbi Alami, and President of the Senegalese National Assembly El Malick Ndiaye, Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man will attend the 6th World Conference of Speakers of Parliament and conduct bilateral activities in Switzerland and pay official visits to Morocco and Senegal from July 22 to 30, 2025.

National Assembly (NA) Chairman Tran Thanh Man, his spouse Nguyen Thi Thanh Nga, and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation departed Ha Noi on July 22 morning to pay official visits to Senegal and Morocco, attend the Sixth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament, organised by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Switzerland, and conduct bilateral activities in the European country.
