Over the past eight decades, Viet Nam’s National Assembly (NA) has played a central role in safeguarding political stability, ensuring institutional continuity, staying attuned to public aspirations, and turning the country’s development goals into concrete outcomes, according to Rup Narayan Das, a former official of India’s Lok Sabha (lower house).

An exhibition titled “National Assembly of Viet Nam’s 80 years of accompanying the nation” will open at the National Assembly headquarters in Ha Noi on January 6 as part of celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the first nationwide general election (January 6, 1946 – 2026).
