Chairman of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Policies and Strategies Nguyen Thanh Nghi has presented the key contents of Resolution No. 19-NQ/TW on renewing the national development model, highlighting institutional breakthroughs and modernised national governance as the foundation for creating new development capacity and achieving rapid and sustainable growth.

Politburo member Nghi affirmed that Viet Nam attaches importance to strengthening relations with the CNRT and political parties in member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) on the basis of sincerity, mutual trust, cooperation and shared development.

Politburo member and Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC) Nguyen Thanh Nghi, who is also Head of the PCC’s Commission for Policies and Strategies visited the Samsung Viet Nam Research and Development (R&D) Centre in Ha Noi on May 14.

Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Politburo member, Secretary of the CPV Central Committee and Chairman of its Commission for Policies and Strategies, held meetings in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on May 8 with leaders of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP - People's Liberation Front), the Communist Party of Sri Lanka and the Sri Lanka-Viet Nam Solidarity Association.

The five-year plan for socio-economic development, national finance, public debt management, and medium-term public investment for the 2026–2030 period was highlighted at a national conference held on April 13 to study, disseminate and implement the resolutions of the second meeting of the 14th Party Central Committee.

Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chairman of its Commission for Policies and Strategies Nguyen Thanh Nghi received Daniel J. Kritenbrink, former US Ambassador to Vietnam and a partner at The Asia Group (TAG), in Ha Noi on March 30.

The overall goal is to successfully achieve the target of becoming a developing country with modern industry and upper-middle income by 2030, and to realise the vision of becoming a developed, high-income country by 2045, according to Chairman of the Commission for Policies and Strategies Nguyen Thanh Nghi.
