Ambassador Do Hung Viet, Permanent Representative of Viet Nam to the United Nations (UN), has called on the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) member states to defend the group’s founding principles by upholding the spirit of solidarity and speaking out strongly against the blockade and sanctions imposed on Cuba.

Viet Nam has always shown solidarity and support for the members of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) for shared interests, stressed Ambassador Pham Hai Anh, Director-General of the Department of International Organisations under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the 19th NAM Ministerial Meeting of the Coordinating Bureau, themed "Deepening Cooperation for Shared Global Affluence," in Kampala, Uganda, on October 15.
