The Government has issued Resolution No. 66.22/2026/NQ-CP on digital citizen development, officially designating October 15 each year as Viet Nam Digital Citizen Day.

A 100-day action plan has been launched aimed at removing long-standing bottlenecks in digital transformation across the country's political system.

The two-tier local administration system has initially operated in a stable and smooth manner, shifting from a management role to one of service provision and development facilitation, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed while addressing a conference reviewing one month of running this system on July 28.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has called on ministries and agencies to thoroughly assess the reorganisation of the administrative apparatus and evaluate the first month of operations under the two-tier local government model.
