After months of technical planning and hydrological studies, the 3,400-tonne steel arch structure and supporting framework of the pedestrian bridge across the Sai Gon River were successfully loaded onto a specialised barge at Dong Xuyen Port in Vung Tau at 2:45am on October 16.
