Removal of IUU fishing 'yellow card' an urgent must-do: PM

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has underlined that having the European Commission (EC)’s "yellow card" warning over illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing removed in 2025 and sustainably developing the fisheries sector is an urgent and essential task, one that must be completed without delay.

Houses must be re-built for people who lose homes due to floods before Lunar New Year: PM

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has requested competent agencies to review households whose houses have collapsed, fallen down, or been swept away by floods, and arrange temporary accommodation for people; support and complete house repairs for people before November 30, 2025; and develop a project to build houses for people who lost their homes before January 31, 2026 so that they will have houses to celebrate the Lunar New Year (Tet).

Vietnamese, Canadian, EC leaders discuss enhancement of CPTPP - EU connectivity

Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with Canadian PM Mark Carney and President of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa, on November 22 afternoon (local time) to discuss directions for strengthening connectivity and promoting trade and investment cooperation between member countries of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and the European Union (EU).
