Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh underscored the private sector’s role as a key driver of the socialist-oriented market economy during the plenary session of the Viet Nam Private Economic Landscape Programme 2025 (ViPEL 2025) in Ha Noi on October 10.

Since the Doi Moi (renewal) process, the private sector in the South Central region has witnessed significant growth, making important contributions to local socio-economic development. However, further research and policy refinement are needed to ensure this sector becomes a true driving force of the national economy.

Amid the growing optimism of the business community following the issuance of Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW by the Politburo on 4 May 2025 on the development of the private sector economy, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a dialogue with businesses on May 31 to effectively implement this resolution.
