After eight years of implementing Resolution No. 36-NQ/TW, dated October 22, 2018, on Viet Nam’s Sustainable Marine Economic Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045, Viet Nam’s maritime economy has delivered significant achievements. The maritime economy has advanced, elevating the sea’s role in national development.

Party General Secretary and State President To Lam has called for a fundamental shift in mindset and vision in marine development in the new period, stressing the need for a broader vision that views the sea not merely as an economic resource but as a strategic national development space.

Resolution No. 36-NQ/TW on OVs affairs has provided a strong political foundation and legal framework enabling OVs to develop, integrate, and contribute to their host countries while maintaining close ties with the homeland.
