Retail prices of major petroleum products rose from 15:00 on February 5, following a decision by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance.

In recent times, the Ha Noi Department of Industry and Trade has expanded the retail system, increased supply-demand connections and implemented consumer stimulus programmes to meet the increasing shopping demands of the people.

The Viet Nam retail market has recorded robust growth, reaching around 9–9.5% in 2024 and nearly 11% in the first nine months of 2025, according to data from the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development (Ministry of Industry and Trade). As such, the retail sector plays an important role in the overall development of the national economy.
