As of the afternoon of July 27, 48 people aboard the Khoi Nguyen 18 vessel had been rescued, according to information from Vietnamese authorities cited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Khoi Nguyen 18 vessel, carrying 62 people, sank while operating in severe weather conditions in the East Sea/South China Sea, Spokeswoman of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pham Thu Hang said, citing information from relevant authorities.
