Global gold prices declined on June 1 after a strong rebound at the end of the previous week, trading above 4,500 USD per ounce. Domestically, SJC bar and ring gold prices were traded at 158.5 million VND and 158.3 million VND per tael, respectively.

Global gold prices continued their upward momentum on May 30, trading at 4,538.3 USD per ounce. In the domestic market, SJC gold bullion prices increased by a further 500,000 VND per tael, with buying and selling prices quoted at 156 million VND and 159 million VND per tael, respectively.

Global gold prices continued to plunge on May 28, trading at 4,380.9 USD per ounce. Domestically, SJC gold bar prices fell sharply in line with the global market, being listed at 157.5 million VND per tael.

Global gold prices rebounded strongly on May 21 amid expectations of easing tensions in the Middle East and a weakening US dollar, trading at 4,502 USD/ounce. Domestically, SJC gold bar and SJC gold ring prices reversed course and increased in line with the global uptrend, traded at 162.4 million VND/tael and 161.9 million VND/tael, respectively.

Domestic gold prices fell on May 20 morning amid a decline in global bullion rates. SJC gold bar dropped 0.92% to 162 million VND per tael while gold ring price slid 1.1% to 161.5 million VND per tael.

Global gold prices continued to decline on May 18, trading at 4,537.2 USD/ounce. In the domestic market, gold prices of most brands remained unchanged, except for Manh Hai Gold, which fell by 1 million VND/tael.

World gold prices continued to fall on May 16 amid rising inflationary pressure and stronger US Treasury yields, trading at 4,538.2 USD/ounce. Domestically, SJC gold bars and SJC gold rings both plunged sharply, listed respectively at 163.5 million VND/tael and 163.3 million VND/tael.

World gold prices on May 13 reversed course and declined, trading at 4,688.2 USD per ounce. Domestically, gold prices also fell in line with global prices, with SJC gold bars decreasing by 500,000 VND to 165 million VND per tael.

Global gold prices on May 8 continued to rise, trading at 4,718.3 USD per ounce as crude oil prices declined, the US dollar weakened and Treasury bond yields fell. Domestically, SJC gold prices were sold at 167.5 million VNDper tael, unchanged compared with yesterday’s closing session.

Global gold prices rose sharply on May 7 as positive diplomatic prospects between the US and Iran weakened the US dollar and oil prices, with gold trading at 4,738.4 USD per ounce. In the domestic market, SJC gold bar and SJC gold ring prices both increased by an additional 1.5 million VND per tael, reaching VND 167.5 million per tael and VND 167 million per tael, respectively.
