Localities are striving to overcome difficulties to complete the scheme on “Investing in the construction of at least one million social housing units for low-income earners and industrial park workers by 2030” on schedule. Of this, more than 100 thousand social housing units are expected to be completed by the end of 2025.

Hung Yen Province, which is currently undergoing industrialisation and modernisation, has attracted a large number of workers both from within and outside the province to work on investment projects in industrial zones, industrial clusters, and economic zones. As a result, the demand for social housing for workers in the locality is high, and this issue is receiving strong attention from the provincial authorities.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a national online conference on August 16 to review the implementation of social housing development targets in the first seven months of 2025 and deploy tasks for the remaining months to achieve the goal of building 100,000 social housing apartments this year; as well as implementing social housing development targets in the following years.
