General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee and President of Viet Nam To Lam’s visit to Singapore from May 29 to 31 has not only provided fresh momentum for bilateral relations but also helped ensure that the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) remains a strong, united and indispensable actor on the international stage, experts have said.

After concluding his successful state visit to Singapore and delivering a keynote address at the 23rd Shangri-La Dialogue, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee and President of Viet Nam To Lam, his spouse Ngo Phuong Ly, and the high-ranking delegation of the country departed for a state visit to the Philippines from May 31 to June 1.

General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee and State President To Lam, his spouse, and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation on May 30 morning laid flowers in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at the statue and memorial plaque dedicated to him within the campus of the Asian Civilisations Museum, as part of the top leader’s state visit to Singapore and his attendance at the 23rd Shangri-La Dialogue.
