On the threshold of the Lunar New Year (Tet) 2026, Politburo member and Permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Cam Tu led a delegation to the central city of Da Nang on February 5 to pay tribute to fallen heroes and extend Tet greetings to policy beneficiary families, revolution contributors and disadvantaged people.

The Viet Nam Fatherland Front (VFF)’s Ha Noi Chapter, together with the city’s “For the Poor” Fund Mobilisation Committee, has approved a sum of over 5.4 billion VND (207,000 USD) to bring warmth and joy to those who need it most this Lunar New Year (Tet) festival.

State President Luong Cuong on January 5 signed a decision approving cash gifts for people with meritorious service to the revolution on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026, with two levels set at 600,000 VND (nearly 23 USD) and 300,000 VND per person.

The Viet Nam Red Cross Society has launched its nationwide “Tet of Compassion” campaign for Lunar New Year (Tet) 2026, appealing for support from government agencies, organisations, businesses, philanthropists and the wider public to help ensure a dignified Tet for needy and vulnerable people.
