Nearly three years after the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th Viet Nam Trade Union Congress, trade unions at all levels have effectively fulfilled their representative role and their function of caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers. These efforts have affirmed the core role of the trade union organisation in building a modern and strong working class and consolidating the great national unity bloc.

The 14th Viet Nam Trade Union Congress for the 2026 – 2031 term began its first working day on June 3 in Ha Noi, bringing together 780 delegates representing nearly 10 million union members nationwide to chart goals, tasks, and breakthroughs for the new tenure.

Leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labour on May 13 held a working session with a delegation from Singapore's National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) to exchange experience in improving workforce quality, enhancing sustainable labour productivity and promoting technology application in trade union activities.

In this context, caring for workers during Tet is regarded by trade unions at all levels as a central and ongoing task, demonstrated through specific and practical programmes.
