For overseas Vietnamese across five continents, the voyage to Truong Sa is not simply a visit, but a journey back to their roots, one that awakens love for the homeland more deeply and enduringly than ever before.

The Coast Guard Region 2 Command on May 10 successfully carried out an emergency rescue operation for a fishing vessel carrying 57 fishermen after it was severely damaged in a collision with an unidentified cargo ship in waters near the Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago.

The Party cell of newly-established Hoang Sa special zone will begin official operations from July 1, Chief of the Office of the Hoang Sa District People's Committee Le Tien Cong has said.
