The Punjab provincial authorities of Pakistan, in coordination with the Vietnamese Embassy and the embassies of Thailand, Myanmar, and Nepal, as well as the Sri Lankan High Commission in Islamabad, have jointly organised Vesak 2026 in Taxila — an ancient centre of global Buddhism — and at the Dhammarajika Stupa — which has preserved relics of the Buddha for more than two millennia.
