Viet Nam, US strengthen cooperation to ease suffering of AO/dioxin victims

A delegation from the Viet Nam Association for Victims of Agent Orange/dioxin's chapter in Ho Chi Minh City (VAVA HCMC) led by its Chairman Major General Nguyen Hong Son held working sessions with the US’s Congresswoman Rashida Tlai, Veterans for Peace (VFP), legal experts and various social organisations during a working visit to the US from August 12-14.

Additional policies for third-generation Agent Orange/dioxin victims

Sixty-four years have passed since the US began its campaign to spray millions of litres of toxic chemicals on southern Viet Nam (August 10, 1961). Even today, there are cases in which third and fourth generations still have to bear the consequences of the war. However, for many reasons, there are hundreds of thousands of Agent Orange/dioxin victims who have not received benefits.
