Economic cooperation between Viet Nam and the Republic of Korea has steadily expanded over more than three decades. Viet Nam has become one of the most significant investment destinations for Korean enterprises, hosting over 10,400 projects with registered capital approaching 99 billion USD.

Viet Nam consistently attaches importance to its relations with the Republic of Korea (RoK) and wants bilateral ties to continue growing substantively, effectively and sustainably in line with their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, President of the National Assembly (NA) Tran Thanh Man told Korean Prime Minister Han Seong Sook during their meeting in Seoul on September 7.

The 2026 Viet Nam – Republic of Korea (RoK) Festival officially opened at Bien Dong Park on August 7.

On June 26, the Korean Cultural Centre in Viet Nam announced that it would cooperate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea (RoK) and the Korea Creative Content Agency to organise the 2026 K-Comics Origin Viet Nam exhibition from June 30 to August 28 at 49 Nguyen Du Street, Hai Ba Trung Ward, Ha Noi.
