The year 2023 marks a special milestone in Vietnam-Argentina relations, as the two countries will celebrate the 50th founding anniversary of diplomatic ties (October 25, 1973-2023) and the 13th anniversary of comprehensive partnership (2010-2023). Vietnam and Argentina are making efforts to deepen their cooperation in many fields, as well as continuing to consolidate each other's key partner roles, in the two regions of Southeast Asia and Latin America.
Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh held bilateral meetings with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre in Johannesburg on November 23, as part of his activities on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in South Africa.
