Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received Cambodian Ambassador Chea Kimtha in Ha Noi on January 15, as she paid a farewell call at the end of her term in Viet Nam.

Cambodian scholars and analysts agreed that the 14th National Congress of the CPV will play an important role in defining Viet Nam’s development path over the next five years and beyond, highlighting renewed thinking marked by innovation, groundbreaking approaches and creativity, alongside long-term strategic goals.

General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) Central Committee To Lam on August 14 held phone talks with President of the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) Hun Sen to discuss measures to strengthen relations between the two Parties and countries, at the request of the Cambodian side.

Deputy Minister of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Manh Cuong and Secretary of State of the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ung Rachana co-chaired the ninth Political Consultation in Ha Noi on July 17.

The CPV and Vietnamese people congratulate the CPP on these accomplishments and and believe that under the leadership of the Party Central Committee and Standing Board headed by President Hun Sen, the CPP will continue to lead Cambodia to gain new and greater achievements in successfully implementing the CPP's 2023–2028 Platform and the Government’s Pentagonal Strategy Phase VII, with a vision to make Cambodia an upper-middle-income country by 2030 and a high-income nation by 2050

As Viet Nam and Cambodia are celebrating the 58th anniversary of their diplomatic ties (June 24, 1967–2025), Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Nguyen Minh Vu has reaffirmed the enduring friendship between the two nations, calling it a valuable asset to be preserved for future generations.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh hosted a reception in Hanoi on February 18 for General Tea Banh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence of Cambodia.
