Panamanian President Jose Raul Mulino’s official visit to Viet Nam from October 5 to 8 heralded a new phase for bilateral relations, serving the interests of both peoples and contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the two regions and the world, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dang Hoang Giang has said.

Viet Nam and Panama agreed to strengthen political and economic cooperation as well as coordination at multilateral forums during the second political consultation between their foreign ministries in Ha Noi on July 28, which was co-chaired by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dang Hoang Giang and his Panamanian counterpart Carlos Arturo Hoyos.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Mexico and Panama Nguyen Van Hai on August 20 presented his credentials to Panamanian President José Raúl Mulino Quintero, who expressed his belief that bilateral ties will continue to expand, especially in trade, logistics, maritime affairs, and cooperation at international forums.
