Uruguayan Ambassador to Viet Nam Raúl Juan Pollak Giampietro has affirmed that bilateral relations are developing in a positive and stable manner, with ample room to be elevated to a new level in the coming period.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dang Hoang Giang and his Uruguayan counterpart Valeria Csusaki Cabrera co-chaired the 5th political consultation between the two ministries on August 19, during which they discussed measures for further strengthening the countries' relations.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had a meeting with President of Uruguay on the sidelines of the expanded BRICS summit in Rio de Janeiro on July 7 (local time).
