The top Vietnamese leader’s participation in the inaugural meeting of the Board of Peace demonstrates Viet Nam’s support for and readiness to engage in the international community’s common efforts for peace and development.

The two sides agreed to continue efforts toward concluding negotiations on and signing the reciprocal trade agreement, thereby creating a stepping stone for more sustainable and effective economic and trade ties for the benefit of businesses and peoples of both countries.

State President Luong Cuong received US Ambassador to Viet Nam Marc Knapper on January 12, congratulating the outgoing diplomat on a successful term marked by many positive outcomes and affirming the importance Viet Nam attaches to bilateral relations.
