Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his Lao counterpart Sonexay Siphandone co-chaired the 48th meeting of the Viet Nam–Laos Intergovernmental Committee on Bilateral Cooperation in Vientiane on December 3.

Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly (NA) and Chairwoman of the Viet Nam–Laos Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group Nguyen Thi Thanh hosted a reception in Ha Noi on September 1 for a delegation of the Laos–Viet Nam Friendship Association, led by its President Boviengkham Vongdara.
