On June 15, at its fourth session (special session), the 17th Ha Noi People’s Council adopted a resolution approving the investment policy for a project to renovate and enhance the value of the West Lake area and its surrounding scenic road under a public-private partnership (PPP) model using a build-transfer (BT) contract.

West Lake (Tay Ho) lotus tea, also known as “Thien Co De Nhat Tra” (The finest tea of all time), refers to the exquisitely infused tea made from the hundred-petal lotus flowers grown on West Lake, following an elaborate and meticulous process. Through generations, the craft of Tay Ho lotus-tea infusion has been carefully preserved and developed by artisans of Quang Ba Village, now Tay Ho Ward.
