Politburo member and Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung, Special Envoy of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) Central Committee and President of Viet Nam To Lam, met with Jo Yong Won, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly (SPA) and Chairman of the SPA of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), in Pyongyang on May 15.

Politburo member and Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung attended a reception hosted by the Embassy of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) in Ha Noi on March 31 to celebrate the success of the 9th Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK).

In the 80 years since its founding, the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) has led the people in building and defending the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), achieving admirable successes. The Viet Nam–DPRK friendship, which has been nurtured by generations of leaders and peoples of both countries over the past 75 years, is a precious shared legacy of the two nations.
