At the event, Thanh Hoa leaders briefed participants on the province’s strengths and potential, noting that Thanh Hoa’s exports to Europe reached 558 million USD in 2023, including 22.3 million USD to Italy.
Thanh Hoa leaders underlined the importance of European and Italian businesses in its development and called for investment in three priorities, namely manufacturing, tourism and timber processing.
Representatives of the Italian Chamber of Commerce said the organisation supports Thanh Hoa in looking for Italian partners while asking for the simplification of administrative procedures for foreign investors.
For their part, business associations in Thanh Hoa requested the provincial authorities facilitate local enterprises to learn from Italian development.
Thanh Hoa leaders asserted their stance of supporting domestic and foreign enterprises by stepping up administrative reform and enhancing the quality of online public services.
They also pledged to accompany Italian investors looking for cooperation opportunities in Thanh Hoa and stand ready to listen to all suggestions and remove obstacles to cooperation between the two sides.
On the occasion, Thanh Hoa also organised various activities, including cultural exchange, exhibitions and film screenings, to celebrate 50 years of Vietnam-Italy diplomatic relations.
