Vietnam Airlines serves Son La plum to passengers

The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will supply the specialty product of Son La plum in its flights in a bid to offer diverse experiences to passengers as well as promote agricultural products of Vietnamese localities.

The carrier will serve dishes and drinks made from plum grown in the northern province of Son La on both domestic and international routes from June 8 to 15, 2024.

Passengers on domestic flights from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, and Phu Quoc as well as international flights from Hanoi to European countries, Australia, Japan and the Republic of Korea will be served fresh plum in business class and plum mousse cake in economy class.

In addition, all business class passengers on other domestic and international routes will be provided with a welcome drink of plum tea.

Son La currently has nearly 85,000 ha of fruit production area, including over 12,300 ha of plum with an estimated output of approximately 90,000 tonnes harvested from April to July each year.
