The two sides highly appreciated the role of women in the revolutionary cause of each country. They also reaffirmed their determination to protect the legacy of the great revolutionary leaders Ho Chi Minh and Fidel Castro Ruz while continuing to build socialism in each country and tightening traditional ties in all fields.
At the meeting with the Vietnamese delegation, Politburo member and Secretary of the Organisation and Cadre Policy of the Communist Party of Cuba’s Central Committee Roberto Morales Ojeda affirmed the prominent role of women in Cuban society today as one of the greatest achievements of the Cuban revolution.
He also updated the difficulties and external impacts on the current Cuban situation, especially the US economic embargo and the destabilising campaigns of hostile forces.
Ha Thi Nga informed the host about Vietnam's latest achievements in the efforts to enhance the role of women in all aspects of social life, as well as the role of the Women's Union in promoting gender equality. She also emphasised Vietnam's consistent stance on supporting the Cuban Party and people in protecting its sovereignty and determining its own development path.
During the meeting with the delegation, Vice President of the National Assembly of People’s Power of Cuban Ana María Mari Machado shared Cuba's legislative activities to implement the 2019 Constitution, with great contributions from women and the Federation of Cuban Women.
Ha Thi Nga said that the similarities of revolutionary women in Vietnam and Cuba as well as the friendship and cooperation between the two Women's Unions of the two countries are meaningful contributions to the special relationship between the peoples of the two countries.
