The fair features 400 pavilions displaying a wide variety of agricultural, forestry and fishery products, handicrafts, crop varieties and animals. Vietnamese enterprises are introducing specialities of three regions around the country such as fruits, Bao Minh rice, Thai Nguyen tea, San Nam dried fruits.
Additionally, various equipment, machines and technologies for producing and processing agricultural products in the world will also be displayed at the exhibition.
On the sidelines of the fair, a range of other important activities will also be held, including a direct trade programme for Vietnamese and international businesses as well as seminars themed ‘Strengthening co-operation on production and consumption of agricultural products’ and ‘Promoting the application of advanced technology in preservation and processing of agricultural products’.
Vietnam’s exports of agricultural, forestry and fishery products in the first ten months reached US$24.6 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 3.8%.
AgroViet 2015 is expected to boost agricultural trade promotion in the country as well as offer an opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises to seek more partners and expand their export markets.
The annual event also aims to honour high-quality agricultural, forestry and fishery products and handicrafts, significantly contributing to improving the position of Vietnam’s agricultural industry in the international arena.
AgroViet2015, held by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, will last until November 9.
