Trading on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange rose by 8% to 17.111 trillion VND (703.29 million USD).
The VN-30 basket, comprising the 30 largest capped stocks, saw 14 tickers gained and 16 fell.
Foreign investors were net seller to the tune of 356 billion VND, mainly selling FUESSVFL exchange-traded fund and SSI of securities firm SSI, and buying VCB and MWG of electronics retail chain Mobile World.
The HNX-Index for stocks on the Hanoi Stock Exchange dropped 0.45%, while the UPCoM-Index for the Unlisted Public Companies Market rose 0.46%.
