Women’s futsal international tournament: Vietnam beat China 4-2

The Vietnamese women's futsal team defeated host China 4-2 in their opening match of the Lanzhou Olympic women's futsal international tournament on July 12.

Playing with an experienced team, including goalkeeper Ngo Nguyen Thuy Linh, captain Trinh Nguyen Thanh Hang and players Tran Nguyet Vi, Le Thi Thanh Ngan and Bui Thi Trang, the Vietnamese women’s futsal team quickly deployed and coordinated well together from the beginning of the match.

Evaluating the match results, head coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang said, the host opponent China was a strong team, but the Vietnamese players' spirit was unmatched, as the whole team complied with the tactics and strategy proposed by the coaching staff.

He noted that the opening match had many difficulties, but the team played hard and won.

The Vietnamese women's futsal team will have their second match against Iran on July 13.

In their first match, Iran was defeated 5-7 by Uzbekistan.
