According to expert Grigory Trofimchuk, Russia-Vietnam relations have developed comprehensively in all fields of economy, politics and culture. In fact, their cooperation in all aspects witnessed strong growth. Notably, the two countries have enhanced their cooperation in the context of the world's complicated changes.
First of all, the highlight of the Russia-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership is their cooperation in the field of military techniques. For Moscow, the stability in Southeast Asia and the whole of Asia is of the utmost importance. Vietnam holds one of the key positions and has regularly showed its efforts in all aspects. The Vietnam factor has become particularly important in the recent geopolitical developments.
The Russian expert stressed Vietnam’s participation in the free trade zone of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). This has allowed the Eurasian platform to quickly expand towards Southeast Asia with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), of which Vietnam is one of the leading members, he added.
According to Grigory Trofimchuk, Russia and Vietnam have growth potential, so the two countries can expect a development in bilateral economic and trade cooperation in the near future. In addition, the Russian expert recommended that the two sides expand the projects that can become “important connection factors”. He also noted that the fields of cooperation between the two nations share a very solid foundation of the friendship between the two peoples. This is a lasting and eternal value as well as the main focus of the Russia – Vietnamese relationship.
Regarding the Russia trip by President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, expert Grigory Trofimchuk said Russians, especially experts studying in Vietnam, have special feelings for the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. President Phuc is a real comrade and his official visit to Russia is not only is an important event but also lays a new foundation for the further development of the bilateral cooperation in energy, high technology, tourism, medicine, education, mechanical engineering, politics and military, he added.
The Russian expert expressed his hope that the upcoming visit to Russia by President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and the meeting of the head of state of Vietnam with Russian President Vladimir Putin will bring about concrete and impressive results. The success of high-level talks will direct the development of their cooperation and bring prosperity to the two peoples.
