Nhan Dan Newspaper’s Editor-in-chief pays working visit to Xizang Autonomous Region (China)

Within the framework of their working visit to China at the invitation of the People's Daily, the official newspaper of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), a delegation from Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper led by its Editor-in-chief Le Quoc Minh visited China’s Xizang Autonomous Region learn about the socio-economic development situation, cultural preservation, and press development of the locality.

On the afternoon of April 24, Editor-in-chief Le Quoc Minh and the Nhan Dan Newspaper delegation worked with Wang Haizhou, a member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC)’s Xizang Autonomous Regional Committee and director general of the Publicity Department of the CPC Xizang Autonomous Regional Committee, as well as leaders of Xizang Daily, the permanent agency of People's Daily in Xizang.

The visit to China by Editor-in-chief Le Quoc Minh and the Nhan Dan Newspaper’s delegation at the invitation of the People's Daily aims to concretise the important common perceptions of the top leaders of the two parties and states.

The visit also boosts the cooperation between the two newspapers, as well as between the media and press agencies of the two countries in general, in a deeper, more practical, and more effective manner.

At the working session, Editor-in-chief Le Quoc Minh highlighted the purpose and meaning of Nhan Dan Newspaper delegation’s visit to China within the framework of the exchange, cooperation, and delegation exchange mechanism between the two party newspapers from Vietnam and China. The visit aims to promote the research and learning of professional experiences between the two newspapers as well as the media and press agencies from the two countries in general, while also strengthening propaganda about the bilateral relations and socio-economic development achievements of the two countries.

Briefly introducing Nhan Dan Newspaper, Minh said as a press agency with the most important role of the Party, State, and people of Vietnam, Nhan Dan Newspaper maintains a large circulation in Vietnam. The newspaper is always at the forefront of innovation and updating modern technology, becoming a key multi-platform and multi-media press agency, making important contributions to the propaganda of the country’s achievements.

Appreciating the socio-economic development achievements of the Xizang Autonomous Region, Minh stressed that the locality has well exploited its cultural resources and natural conditions to maintain economic development momentum, protect and promote indigenous cultural values, and improve people's lives.

He also affirmed that the Vietnamese people are very interested in the development situation and the cultural and religious beauty of Xizang. Nhan Dan Newspaper is willing to strengthen propaganda on the autonomous region in publications and newspaper platforms.

For his part, Wang Haizhou affirmed that the visit will contribute to tightening the exchange and cooperation of Vietnam’s Nhan Dan Newspaper with People's Daily as well as press agencies in Xizang.

He expressed his hope that Nhan Dan Newspaper and Vietnamese press agencies will promote propaganda of the socio-economic development situation, cultural beauty, religion, and tourism in Xizang, thus contributing to enhancing exchanges between Xizang and Vietnamese localities.

During their working visit to Xizang, Le Quoc Minh and Nhan Dan Newspaper’s Delegation visited a number of economic and cultural units in the cities of Lhasa and Lhoka, while learning about the experiences in preserving and promoting cultural values and the ecological environment.
