Speaking at the conference, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, and Minister of Defence, General Phan Van Giang spoke highly of the determination of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee in leading and directing the implementation of the Resolution and the core role of the armed forces.
The province has promoted the synergy of the political system in the cause of national defence; regularly consolidating the great national unity bloc and the people's trust in the Party and government, he noted.
General Phan Van Giang suggested that Quang Ninh continues to concretize programmes and plans, associated with each field, according to their functions and tasks, focusing on directing and solving issues related to national defence, security and order.
The General also underscored the need to improve the leadership capacity and combat power of the party organisation and the effectiveness and efficiency of the political system; regularly grasping and strictly implementing the resolutions and conclusions of the Party Central Committee on building and rectifying the Party and the political system; as well as gathering strength, promoting patriotism, national pride and self-respect, creating a high consensus in awareness and actions of the entire people for the cause of national defence.
