11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress opens today, December 27

The 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress, themed “Emulating reform and creativity, accelerating breakthroughs to propel the nation into an era of strong, civilised, and prosperous development” is taking place in Ha Noi on December 27.

At the Congress, delegates will listen to an important keynote address by Party General Secretary To Lam. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will launch the patriotic emulation movement for the 2026–2030 period.

The Congress will review the patriotic emulation movement and commendation work for the 2021–2025 period, honour outstanding and exemplary individuals and collectives in patriotic emulation movements, and set out orientations to further renew emulation and commendation work over the next five years. The aim is to create momentum and motivation to contribute to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress, national socio-economic development tasks, and the safeguarding of national defence and security.

Attending the Congress are current and former leaders of the Party, State, and the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee. Delegates also include Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, Heroes of the People’s Armed Forces and Labour Heroes, exemplary individuals in the movement “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and style”, overseas Vietnamese, foreigners who have made merits and contributions to Viet Nam, representatives from various professions and sectors, outstanding advanced role models in patriotic emulation movements, and others.

The Congress is attended by 2,223 delegates, including 198 invited guests and 2,025 official delegates.
