The event was jointly held by the Vietnam Tennis Federation (VTF), the Department of Physical Training and Sports and the Department of Culture and Sports of Ninh Binh Province.

This year’s tournament had 17 teams with about 150 coaches and athletes from federation units, member clubs of the Vietnam Tennis Federation and provinces, cities and sectors across the country.

They compete in five events: men’s singles, women's singles, men's and women's doubles, and mixed doubles.

In particular, within the framework of the tournament, the Vietnam Tennis Federation and the Organising Committee of the 2024 National Tennis Championship launched a fundraising program, with the theme “Joining hands with the North to overcome storms and floods”, at three locations in Hanoi, Ninh Binh and Ho Chi Minh City.

As a result, the Organising Committee received a donation of 120 million VND and sent it to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ninh Binh Province to contribute to sharing, encouraging, helping, and supporting affected people to overcome difficulties, overcome the consequences caused by natural disasters, and soon stabilise their lives.

The tournament is also an opportunity to promote and introduce the potential, socio-economic strengths, scenic spots, and historical and cultural relics of Ninh Binh to friends across the country.
