The Energy Efficiency Awards are held annually to recognise and honour enterprises operating in industrial production, as well as outstanding construction works, for implementing solutions for economical and efficient use of energy.
Speaking at the event, Nguyen Thi Lam Giang, Director of the Agency for Innovation, Green Transformation and Industrial Promotion under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, expressed her hope that, following the success of previous editions, the 2026 awards would continue to attract many enterprises, with more works, products and businesses receiving certification, thereby helping raise public awareness of efficient energy use.
The Energy Efficiency Awards include the following categories: the Energy Efficiency in Industry Award; the Energy Efficiency in Construction Works Award; the Highest Energy Performance Product Award; and the Innovative Energy Efficiency Technology Solution Award.
Each award category is designed to identify and honour outstanding efforts in different fields, from production industry and construction to the development of new products and technologies.
Nguyen Dinh Hiep, Chairman of the VECEA, said the honoured enterprises are outstanding examples with modern and innovative management and technological solutions, providing the community with highly energy-efficient and environmentally friendly products or solutions that can be replicated and supplied to the Vietnamese market.
The Energy Efficiency Awards are expected to make a significant contribution to the target of achieving energy savings of 8-10% in the 2019-2030 period, under the National Programme on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy for the 2019-2030 period.
At the same time, the awards also strongly promote science, technology, innovation and digital transformation activities in enterprises, contributing to the successful implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in national science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation.
Applications for the awards will be accepted from June 29 to October 31, 2026. After the application period ends, the awards’ technical council will assess and select enterprises, works and products that meet the award criteria.
The organisers will receive applications in both hard-copy and electronic forms, creating the most favourable conditions to support enterprises in submitting entries for the awards. The awards are scheduled to be announced and presented in December 2026.
