81st anniversary of Nghe Tinh Soviet movement marked

Nhan Dan - Leaders of the central province of Ha Tinh offered incense at the Nghe Tinh Soviet statue on September 11 to mark the 81st anniversary of the Nghe Tinh Soviet revolutionary movement.

The statue is located at the Nghen T-junction, Can Loc district, Ha Tinh province, where, on September 12, 1930, the residents of Can Loc district and neighbouring localities in the province rose up to fight for national liberation.

The Nghe Tinh Soviet movement is considered the peak of the revolutionary movement in 1930-1931 and the first uprising under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam after it was founded on February 3, 1930.

The Ha Tinh provincial leaders also laid a wreath at the Nghe Tinh Soviet Statue to commemorate the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the revolution and for the cause of national independence and freedom.

The Party Committee and people of Ha Tinh province will promote the spirit of the Nghe Tinh Soviet movement to reinforce the unity between people, enhance internal strength and tap the potential of Ha Tinh to make it into a civilised and prosperous province.
