Art programme honours silent contributions of police force

An art programme was staged at Dai Doan Kiet Square in Pleiku City, Gia Lai province on July 27 by the Ministry of Public Security and Vietnam Television.

The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Defence Tran Quoc To; Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee Ho Van Nien; representatives from the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Public Security, the Military Zone 5; leaders of Central Highlands provinces, Da Nang City, and Binh Phuoc Province.

The programme gathered the participation of singers Pham Phuong Thao, Ploong Thiet, Linh Chi, Dong Hung, and Le Anh Dung.

The artists brought to the stage songs and dance praising the silent contributions and great services of the Vietnamese police force during past wartime, as well as in the current national construction and defence.

There were also documentaries on historical witnesses and outstanding individuals who contributed to ensuring social order and security, in the Central Highlands region.

On the occasion, the organising board presented 20 gifts to families of policemen who laid down their lives for national protection.
