Award launched to honour businesses in Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh city’s Brand Award was announced on December 1 to honour the city’s businesses who have succeeded in developing their own brands in the market.

The award was launched by the municipal People’s Committee and is being jointly implemented by the city’s Industry and Trade Department and the Saigon Times newspaper.

It is designed to raise businesses’ awareness of the role and importance of building and developing brands in business production while encouraging their initiative and innovation in developing the competitiveness of the city’s businesses in domestic and international markets.

It is open to brands representing individual products or groups of products, either goods or services. The brands must have been developed and owned by Ho Chi Minh City-based businesses for at least two years.

The entrants will be evaluated based on such criteria as their compliance with and observance of legal regulations and international standards on production and business activities, their creativity and investment in brand building and development, and their cooperate social responsibility.
