The information was announced at a press conference held by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee in Hanoi on June 4.
According to Vice Chairman of Luc Ngan district People’s Committee Cao Van Hoan, the showcased products will be clean and high-quality products that are selected and packaged with label origin-tracing stamps. Lychees were produced according to VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards.
On the basis of evaluating the results of the week, Luc Ngan district People’s Committee, enterprises and cooperatives willconsider the arrangement of fixed and long-term selling pointsof lychees and other products, aiming to serve the demand of consumers in the capital city.
In addition to domestic and Chinese markets, Luc Ngan lychees have been exported to many other countries, including the US, Japan, the Republic of Korea, the UK, France and Australia.
The total output of Luc Ngan lychee is forecasted to reach around 80,000 tonnes this year.
