The book launch was held in the atmosphere of the entire Party, army, and people celebrating the success of the 14th National Congress of the Party. The book is a valuable theoretical and practical work, contributing to deepening strategic thinking on building the Army and the national defence system in the new situation.
To provide Party committees, unit commanders, officers, soldiers throughout the army, and the people with additional research materials, and to convey the message, viewpoints, thoughts, and guidance of the Minister of National Defence, the People’s Army Publishing House, in coordination with functional agencies of the Ministry of National Defence, the General Political Department, and units throughout the army, has collected and selected a number of articles, speeches, and interviews by the Minister of National Defence that have been published in the media from 2023 to the present.
The book comprises 38 articles and some images of the Minister of National Defence’s activities, arranged by thematic groups in chronological order according to the published events and the progression of political events of the Party, the nation, and the Army, and is divided into two parts, including thoroughly implementing the Party’s military and national defense guidelines, building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern Vietnamese People’s Army; and building a national defence system and a national defence posture to meet the requirements of protecting the Fatherland in the new era.
Through this book, readers can see the image of a peace-loving Viet Nam, with the Vietnamese People’s Army always ready to be a friend and a reliable partner, participating responsibly in international activities with noble goals. The spirit of “self-reliance and self-strengthening” is repeatedly emphasised as an affirmation of Viet Nam’s unwavering resolve and stance on the international stage.
