RoK’s Seoul Semiconductor Company inaugurates its plant in Ha Nam

The Republic of Korea’s Seoul Semiconductor Company held a ceremony on May 27 to inaugurate its high-tech factory at Dong Van I industrial park in Duy Tien district, in the northern province of Ha Nam.

Covering an area of over 7.5 hectares, the Seoul Semiconductor Vina has made a total investment of US$300 million.

The plant specialises in manufacturing semiconductor products and LED lighting equipment, serving the fields of energy saving, lighting, electronics and telecommunications.

The factory will be equipped with multi-polarisation and modern technology, including nPola, WICOP, DRT and UV LED techniques.

Once it comes into operation, the plant will create jobs for more than 3,000 local people, with its revenue expected to reach US$150 million in the first year of operations and US$200 million the following year.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Chairman of Ha Nam provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Xuan Dong said that Seoul Semiconductor Vina is a 100% Korean owned project and i the field of modern technology it is the plant with the highest investment capital in the province.

He also emphasised that the project is very compatible with the province’s strategy to develop and support modern technology, as well as enhancing the province’s socio-economic development plans.

The Chairman of Ha Nam provincial People’s Committee asked the leaders of the Seoul Semiconductor Vina plant to pay great attention with regards to caring for both the material and spiritual lives of it’s workers.

He also requests that the management boards of provincial industrial parks, including Seoul Semiconductor and the relevant agencies, closely coordinate with the provincial People’s Committee in order to promptly overcome any difficulties or obstacles that support enterprises may encounter, so that they may operate effectively and with success.
