The event featured the participation of 200 enterprises from 18 countries and territories worldwide, including the Republic of Korea (RoK), India, the US, China, Thailand and Vietnam.
On display were modern equipment and machines in the field, such as medical equipment, laboratories, hospital equipment, pharmaceuticals, beauty care products, dental products and medical tourism.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Health Truong Quoc Cuong said that, through the expo, the Ministry wished to create a fair, healthy, stable and competitive business environment.
He also noted that the event is an effective and important trade promotion channel for domestic and foreign manufacturers and traders to actively exchange and seek cooperation and linkages, contributing to enhancing bilateral and multilateral trade exchanges in the field of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment.

Notably, the RoK’s Busan Medical Tourism Industry Exhibition is taking place within the framework of the expo.
Deputy Mayor of Busan Yoo Jae Soo emphasised that the exhibition will promote exchanges in healthcare between Vietnam and the RoK as well as create business opportunities for enterprises to study each other’s markets.
The 2018 Vietnam Medi-Pharm Expo and Busan Medical Tourism Industry Exhibition will last until December 8.
