The meeting held on February 20 saw the participation of representatives from six ministries and 11 economic groups and corporations.
Nearly two years since its establishment, the committee has formed a complete organizational structure as prescribed and performed the right of a representative for State capital ownership at 19 restructured and equitised corporations.
The committee has also actively handled unfinished work transferred from ministries, including complicated and long-standing matters.
Several enterprises that were transferred to the committee have made great efforts to overcome difficulties to make profits, contributing to the national economic development.
However, the SCMC also faces many difficulties and challenges regarding the lack of qualified personnel, the implementation of the rights of a representative for State capital ownership at enterprises, and the equitisation, divestment and restructuring of State-owned enterprises.
Vice Chairman of the Government Office Nguyen Cao Luc acknowledged efforts of the committee for fulfilling 201 out of 259 tasks transferred from ministries and 16 other assigned tasks.
Regarding the 185 tasks assigned by the Government and the Prime Minister as of October 1, 2018, the committee has completed 157 tasks while 26 tasks are currently in progress and two tasks are overdue.
The working group asked the committee to concentrate on handling the 26 tasks and addressing the recommendations of enterprises on the progress of large projects. The issues raised at the meeting will be reported to the Prime Minister at the Government's regular meeting in March.
