Finance Ministry to reduce 20-50% of fees in various areas

The Finance Ministry will lower fees and charges in several areas concerned with construction, tourism and water resources to ease the difficulties that have arisen for production and business activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The ministry issued Circulars No.34, 35 and 36 on May 5 regulating the reduction of fees in a number of areas in support of enterprises.

According to Circular No.34, some types of fees in the construction sector will be cut down by 50% from May 5 to December 31, 2020.

Specifically, fees for granting construction capacity certificates, construction practice certificates, appraisal of construction projects, and others will be slashed by 50%.

Circular No.35 also includes a 50% decrease in a number of fees regarding travel services including the appraisal and issuance of licenses to international and domestic travel services as well as the issuance of tour guide certificates.

Meanwhile, under Circular No.36, several fees related to the exploration, use and discharge of water will be reduced by 20-30%.

The aforementioned circulars will expire by December 31 of this year.
